Creating a Blog

The Queen Bee of Blogging!

1. Go to blogger.com

2. If you do not have a google account, you will have to create one.

3. Click on Create a Blog

4. On the next screen fill in your information and click Continue

5. On the next screen Create your Blog Name and click Continue

6. On the next screen select Minima (layout) this is a must if you use Cutest blog on the block, click Continue

7. The next screen click Start Blogging

8. Go to http://thecutesblogontheblock.com/ This website has lots of fun backgrounds for your blog and they are FREE! On the left is a link called Free Backgrounds. Click on that.

9. Find a background you want and click on it. On the next page there is a section called Copy & Paste this Code. Copy the code.

10. Go back to your blog and click on Add a Gadget. Choose the HTML/Java Script. Paste the Code you copied and click save.

11. There are 4 tabs at the top of your blog layout page. Each tab has different options, play with each and see what they do.

12. To post a new post, click on the posting tab. On the Create option you can add a pohto and writing for a post. Post your picture first so when you are on your blog page you can click on the photo and it opens to a larger view.

13. To add a photo click on the icon that looks like a landscape scene. Find the photo you want on your comptuer and ad to the blog post.

• You can change the text size and color. For your header you can create a page in StoryBook Creator Plus and add it as an image, to a classy up your blog.
• On the Stttings tab you can make your blog private by choosing, Permissions. Then you need to select Only People I choose. You would want to do this fi you have family information and don't want just anyone seeing your information.
• Any post can be updated at a later date by choosing Positings, then Edit Posts.
